Spinny (Lonely Star of Wellowwash), our first pointer arrived in 1992 as a raw recruit for falconry. Although she could be considered to have been a difficult subject due to her highly strung temperament, the hard work paid off and Spinny proved well worth the effort. Her loyalty and adaptability both as a working dog and family companion sparked a deeper interest in the breed.

In March 2000, we obtained Anna (Jesterly Desert Rose of Wellowwash). She has proven to be a wonderful companion and mother and her breeding encouraged us to begin showing.

Anna has had two litters; one to Lynwater Atlantic Crossing of Crookrise, which gave us our Wellowwash Just Joey, and one to Ch Crookrise Hi-Jack, giving us Wellowwash Brunhilde.

Lizzie has given birth to two beautiful litters of seven: One in November 2004 and one in July 2006. We are especially excited about thess litters, as the sire is our own Wellowwash Just Joey. From the first litter we kept one bitch, Wellowwash Lucy Locket (Maggie) and from the second, two dogs, Wellowwash Davison (Dave) and Wellowwash Erikson (Ralph).

Working ability is encouraged in all our dogs but they are also included in most family activities, enjoying Sunday afternoon picnics and trips in the car. During the day, they have the run of the grounds, and are on hand to provide a warm welcome to any visitors!

All of our dogs are well socialised and enjoy meeting people and going to new places. Joey has achieved his Kennel Club Good Citizen Dog Scheme gold award, Anna has achieved silver and Lizzie has achieved bronze level.
